Welcome to the EEF Manufacturing Network. Here is a quick overview of everything you will need to know to get you up and running.
Who is the Network for?
The EEF Manufacturing Network provides an online space for all those who work in UK manufacturing to find answers to real business challenges. From CEOs to apprentices the Network is designed for the manufacturing community to share best practices to resolve everyday issues such as:
- Advice on changing shift patterns
- Automating your production line
- Implementing Kanban
- Leadership change management
How can the Network help your business?
- Ask a question about a business challenge and get a range of answers from a network of peers
- Start a discussion about a topical issue and get timely feedback
- Help find new partners for collaboration or suppliers that are right for you
Already an existing EEF Member?
EEF Members get access to exclusive content including the Brexit Board where you will find the latest news from a team of experts in both Brussels and London and the Inside Track, an exclusive area for industry reports and interviews.
How the Network is structured?
The Network is made up of a series of boards, where you can post questions and start discussions.
Start posting your questions in one of our boards:
- Manufacturing Advice Board – designed for all your manufacturing queries
- Manufacturing Insights - Share insights about UK manufacturing
If you want to ask a question or have a discussion about a specific topic, please ensure it is within the relevant topic board. Each of these topic boards outline what should be discussed within them on the board overview page.
Please be sure only to post content relevant about the subject in topic boards. Please note if you do post in an incorrect board a Network Community Manager may move your post to a more relevant board.
How to Register to use the network:
Registering to use the Network is simple. Follow the steps below:
- Go to the Registration Page [Click here]
- Enter your details as requested including a valid work email address
- Check the agree terms and conditions box
- Press complete registration box
- Once you have registered a Community Manager will verify your registration and will send you a Welcome Message
Once registered you can start using the Network.
You can log in with either your name [First name Last name] or email address in the box at the top right hand of the screen and then your password.
Posting a Question
Asking a question:
You can ask a question by clicking on the Ask the Network button on the homepage. This will take you to the Manufacturing Advice Board where you can click on the new question or discussion button to start a new thread.

Help and support:
The Network is supported on a daily basis by two Network Community Managers (Amy Brunsdon & Daniel Kirmatzis), who are here to answer any questions you may have. For more information on how to contact your Network Community Managers [Click here]
Network Community Managers are also responsible for moderating all content on the network to ensure it is in line with the terms and conditions and network guidelines.
We ask all users to follow our community guidelines. The Network Community Managers cannot always check all of the content on the Network, therefore we rely on users to report any inappropriate content. You can report something easily by clicking the report button (exclamation mark in black triangle button) on the post you wish to flag.
