We're attending the EEF National Manufacturing Conference for this first time. I'd be extremely interested to here from other attendees what they hope to gain from the conference from a manufacturing perspective? Do you have a main aim or a specific reason for attending? Look forward to hearing your views and I hope that you enjoy the event! BR Luke Parker /

Garry Clawson - Good well proven approach! ...How often do you review the improvement projects? How long do the reviews continue once the improvements have been implemented? Do you manage via traditional visual boards or have you taken a more digital approach?

Thanks for sharing Jim. Here is a little roundup about Acres Engineering and my personal perspective of industry / advancements… 2017 was another exciting year at Acres Engineering. Following what can only be described as a very turbulent end to 2016 Acres has invested time, effort and resources into developing new products, processes, relationships and sustainable growth. Our mission remains the same, to deliver quality, innovate products on time. We still believe that this remains key to our clients. We have developed new engagement methods for our clients, whether they wish...

Hi Ruth Ginever, It is certainly a challenge! ....Perhaps its not always finding new people but developing the people you have, or an element of both? ....Is there a possibility of teaming up two employees together, or assigning them an apprentice so that they can cross train? A huge beneficial byproduct is the development of multi skilled employees. There's some great training courses out there, and I can highly recommend Toyota who we have teamed up with for our apprenticeship scheme. They run a External Partner Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme which is outputting great...

Hi Tim Morris , We can assist with the design and manufacture of custom weld jig solutions, or any other production support equipment requirements that you may have. Here's a weld jig we manufactured for Bombardier Transportation. This jig prevented the side of the cars from distorting during the welding process. Feel free to contact me for more information or take a look on our website:

Hi Jane High , Could you provide any further information in regards to the process? We're 144 miles away so it may not be applicable for us if your only looking for local companies. Happy to host for a day trip if you could get the industrial cadets here. BR Luke
